How VowLock works

VowLock helps you make a child's phone safer. It blocks known adult content and online gambling. You can also choose to block supported social media or trading platforms if they are a problem for your family.

You start by speaking with an authorized VowLock vendor. Tell them the exact phone you have, or that you want to buy a new one. The vendor checks the model and software to see if VowLock will work on it. This is what we mean by a phone check.

The phone check does not look at messages, photos, calls, searches or conversations. It only checks the phone itself.

If you already own the phone, do not reset it before the vendor checks it. If it is suitable, back up anything important before setup. If you are buying a new phone, ask the vendor which models work with VowLock and have it protected before you add personal accounts.

VowLock costs ₦20,000 for 6 months, ₦30,000 for 1 year, or ₦50,000 for 2 years. Payments are in Nigerian naira. The phone, mobile plan and data are not included.

For the strongest Android protection, the phone must be new or fully reset. The vendor prepares it with you and tests it before you leave. You enter your own passwords and PINs. The vendor should never keep them.

Once protection starts, it cannot be turned off through the phone's normal settings before the chosen period ends. When the period is over, VowLock support helps you remove the protection correctly.

VowLock does not read private messages or track conversations. It is made to give families a clear boundary, not a way to spy on children. No blocker can cover every website or app, so we explain exactly what is protected before you pay.

When you are ready, contact an authorized vendor. They will answer your questions, check the phone and show you the next step. You should not pay until the phone has been checked.
